USPA NEWS - The first goal of the Festival is to reinforce the important & value of press photography. To create a plateform so you can see the in-depth reports & stories which have not been published, to realize just how active the profession is. There will always be a great need for the work done by them.
The International Festival of Photojournalism will be from August 29 to September 13, 2015. The Education Week from September 14 to September 18. Screening from August 31 to September 5. Professional Week from August 31 to September 6.

In Perpignan, thousands of professional photojournalits are offered an opportunity to meet with their peers, to talk about their work of their profession and talk sales with Photo Agencies and get hands on experience with new technologies.
For the Visa d'Or Awards for news reporting and feature reporting, and the City of Perpignan Rémi OCHLIK Award, picture editors select a shortlist from all reports seen over the past year (both published and unpublished) choosing four nominees per category. A second jury meets in Perpignan to choose the winners for each Visa d'Or Award (news, feature and daily press). No applications are needed for these categories.
The International Press Center, located at the Palais des Congrès, recieves during the Professional Week: 3 000 accredited professionals, 280 Press Agencies, representing 50 countries. More than 300 Press Agencies and Associations of Photographers.

Screening-Evening shows:
- August 31 to September 5, 9.45 pm at Campo Santo.
- September 3 to September 5, Simultaneous screening on the Place de la République.

The shows will cover the main events of the past year (from September 2014 to August 2015)
The Visa for Image Award ceremonies are held during the evening programs.
