ITALIAN UNEMPLOYMENT CLIMBS TO 13%

THE RATE RISES TO 43% FOR THE YOUNGER

USPA NEWS - Italy's unemployment rate climbed to 13% in March, up 0.2 of a percentage point on February, according to preliminary data released by national statistics agency Istat on Thursday.
It is the highest level since November, when the unemployment rate was 13.2%. Youth unemployment rose to 43.1% in March, up from 42.8% in February, Istat said. This is the highest level since August. The data concerns under-25s who are on the job market, and therefore young people who are in education are not considered.
